Robert Kirkman's 'Thief of Thieves' No. 6 Preview (Exclusive)
Don't be like your father.
That's the driving force in the sixth issue of Robert Kirkman's Thief of Thieves, the story about a master thief who attempts to give it all up and return to a normal life from Image Comics.
This month, artist Shawn Martinbrough says the tension between said thief, Redmond, and FBI agent Elizabeth Cohen reaches a "game-changing climax" that allowed him to explore new characters and different locations as the criminal mastermind plots to free his son from jail.
"I designed these characters, Redmond's crew in particular, to have distinctive looks and attitudes so it's important to keep these characters visually consistent no matter what situation writers Robert Kirkman and Nick Spencer put them in," Martinbrough tells The Hollywood Reporter.
"Since I imagine [Redmond's crew member] Samuel as a no-nonsense brother from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, it's fun to contrast his style with [fellow crew member] Celia, who is more fashion oriented and with the conservative Washington, D.C., government attire of federal agent Cohen," he adds.
