Sherlock Holmes returns to the big screen Friday, Dec. 16, and in anticipation of the Guy Ritchie-helmed flick, Warner Bros. has released a series of clips from the film.

In Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the sequel to the 2009 film, Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his sidekick Watson (Jude Law) try to thwart the evil plans of Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). The action-packed movie also sees Rachel McAdams reprise her Irene Adler role, and Eddie Marsan is back as Inspector Lestrade. Franchise newcomers Noomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Stephen Fry (Alice in Wonderland) also star.
