The L.A. leg of the charity race from Skywalker Ranch to San Diego Comic-Con will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard in the Pacific Palisades and end at the Santa Monica Pier at 2:15 p.m. There will be a convivial at the pier from noon to 6 p.m., with live music starting at 4:30 p.m.
The race took a pit stop through two geek Meccas on Wednesday, when it dropped in on YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, Calif., and Google’s offices in Mountain View. Storm Troopers and other Star Wars characters invaded the tech offices (pictures can be viewed here)
In 2012, Course of the Force raised more than $100,000 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation with the help of thousands of runners. Those wishing to participate in the relay can register here. More information on Make-a-Wish can be found at its official website.
