Universal Prepping Family Adventure With Jay Roach Producing (Exclusive)
"Little Fockers" writer Larry Stuckey is penning the script for the action comedy.
Universal is going on a family adventure, picking up an untitled action comedy from a team with considerable comedic pedigree.
Larry Stuckey, one of the writers of Little Fockers is behind the pitch and is penning the script, while Jay Roach, a producer on Fockers and the Meet the Parents movies as well as comedies such as Borat and Bruno (and the director of the Austin Power films), is producing.
Attached to direct the project is Dean Parisot, who last directed the Jim Carrey vehicle Fun With Dick and Jane.
The plot of the untitled project revolves around a man and a woman who put aside their adventurous days in order to have a family. When the man finds his life a bit routine, he can't resist going off in search of a long-buried, fabled icon, convincing his family they're merely going on vacation.
Tracy Falco and Anikah McLaren will oversee the project for the studio.
Stuckey is repped by CAA and attorney Michael Gendler. Parisot is repped by CAA and attorney Patti Felker.
