Scarlett Johansson Laughs About 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Quirks (Video)
The Black Widow actress joked about Chris Evans' constant shield retrieval and their characters' unsteady relationship basis on Tuesday morning.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier may not be a comedy, but Scarlett Johansson was laughing about the film's quirks during her Good Morning America spot on Tuesday morning.
When it was mentioned that Chris Evans' superhero character, U.S. Army officer Steve Rogers, is constantly having to retrieve his red, white and blue shield after hurling it in fights, she said, "They gotta get a better system for that!"
She laughed that the Marvel universe isn't anywhere near her wheelhouse. "I also am not really a comic book gal," she said. "I didn't grow up on comics; I'm easily confused by everything. Any kind of plot twist -- The Sixth Sense, I didn't see that ending coming! Everything is a big shocker to me."
The First Avenger sequel sees major chemistry between Evans' Captain America and Johansson's Black Widow. "These characters are really struggling with their own identity," she explained lightheartedly. "I don't think that being in the middle of any identity crisis is of any place to start a relationship, but you never know!"
So will she be back for more Marvel movies? "I'm doing Avengers 2, and that's as far as I can look right now."
