Initially titled Neighborhood Watch, the Akiva Schaffer-directed comedy decided to change its name and re-think its marketing approach after Sanford, Florida Neighborhood Watch captain George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin. That, in turn, led to Fox's decision to blow up the film's big reveal, making clear to audiences that stars Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade were taking on aliens invading their neighborhood, not teenage troublemakers.

With just a few days before its release, Fox has taken another approach: sell the funny.

This new, semi-NSFW outtakes trailer from Schaffer highlights the jokey tone of the film and its stars, bringing viewers behind the scenes for blown shots, on-set goofery and some rude laughs. It's the funniest trailer yet, and just could clear the air for some fans on the fence.
