Summit to distribute 'Astro Boy'


June 16, 2008 LOS ANGELES - Summit Entertainment will distribute Hong Kong-based Imagi Studios' computer-animated feature "Astro Boy" worldwide with the exception of Hong Kong, China and Japan. Osamu Tezuka's "Astro Boy" manga has been the subject of three animated TV series spanning the past four decades and is a licensed property for merchandising. Set in futuristic Metro City, "Astro Boy" tells the story of a young robot created by a scientist to replace the son he has lost.
