HONG KONG -- Irresistible Films -- the fund created by Japan's Avex Group, its Hong Kong-based subsidiary Avex Asia and producer Bill Kong -- will unveil its first project at Cannes.

"Claustrophobia" will be released and presented in Cannes for sales by Kong's Edko Films, the Hong Kong-based company said.

It is the first film directed by award-winning screenwriter Ivy Ho. The $1 million film is also the first production subsidized by the Film Development Fund, the Hong Kong government initiative set up in 2007, which supplied 30% of the budget.
