ITV launching channel in Asia

June 23, 2008 ITV is hoping to secure carriage for a pan-regional general entertainment channel in Asia this year and has launched a preview channel, allowing local pay TV platform operators to view it and decide whether they want to acquire it for their subscribers. Featuring a lineup including drama "Prime Suspect" and chat show "The Jeremy Kyle Show," the channel will be a localized version of the UKTV channel ITV currently operates in the Middle East.
