Yash Raj Films resolves dispute with multiplexes
May 03, 2008 Bollywood powerhouse Yash Raj Films resolved a revenue sharing dispute with theater operator Adlabs and others clearing the way for "Tashan" (Attitude), one of the summer's most anticipated films, to hit mutliplexes on Saturday, more than a week after its initial limited release. Mumbai-based Adlabs Films, which has over 150 screens, and New Delhi-based PVR Cinemas, were parties to the agreement. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya with a rumored $9 million budget (360 million rupees), the action musical "Tashan" stars Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Bollywood's current It couple, actress Kareena Kapoor and actor Saif Ali Khan.
