British, Indian governments support co-prod'n
Will open up access to financing

LONDON -- The British and Indian governments have extended a bilateral trade agreement to support film co-production between the two nations.
The U.K. government will run skills workshops during the next 12 months to help U.K. and Indian filmmakers create films eligible for national status in both countries, thus opening up access to improved production financing.
British culture secretary Andy Burnham said the workshops will provide "exciting new collaborations" between the two countries.
