Sony promotes Michele Garra


June 08, 2008 Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has appointed Michele Garra to the newly created position of senior vp Asia Pacific, overseeing business in the expanding markets of Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India and Korea. Garra, a 24-year industry veteran who has spent the past 16 years with SPHE, has played an integral role in the evolution of the home entertainment market in Australia and New Zealand, playing a key part in introducing emerging technologies to the region with the launch of DVD in 1998 and Blu-ray Disc in 2007.
