TORONTO -- The Japanese live action drama "Ichi" from director Fumihiko Sori ("Ping Pong") is getting a one night stand at a dozen Canadian multiplexes on November 26.

Toronto-based exhibitor Cineplex Entertainment, which has diversified away from Hollywood movies to screen live theatre and sporting events, will give the martial arts action saga from the Japanese studio Shochiku and North American distributor FUNimation Entertainment a single screening on 12 select screens countrywide.

In "Ichi," Japanese actress Haruka Ayase portrays a blind musician who wanders from town to town in solitude before she uses her deadly sword fighting skills to protect one village she comes upon.
