Japan stabbings prompt show cancellation


June 10, 2008 The drama, which contained a scene of a street stabbing, was considered too similar to the attacks, which have shocked a population largely unaccustomed to random violence. On Sunday, Tomohiro Kato, 25, drove a two-ton truck into a crowd of pedestrians on a busy shopping street in Akihabara -- the "electric town" famous as a center of Japanese anime, manga and game culture.
