EA acquiring Hands-On Mobile Korea


May 21, 2008 Electronic Arts announced Thursday it has agreed to buy Hands-On Mobile Korea, the Korean unit of a California-based mobile developer and publisher, as part of EA's Asia development and growth plans. Best known for its role-playing game "Heroes Lore," Hands-On Mobile Korea will become EA Mobile Korea upon completion of the deal. EA is one of the largest computer-game developers in the world, responsible for such games as "The Sims," "Madden NFL," "Medal of Honor" (which features a story developed by Steven Spielberg) and the James Bond video game series from 1999-2007.
