Chello zones out of Singapore

May 29, 2008 Liberty Media's Chello Zone is pulling its Reality Zone channel out of Singapore, telling dominant cable network StarHub that the reality television service is being discontinued from June, according to Patrick Lim, head of StarHub's cable TV services. The revamped news and entertainment packages include four new entertainment channels -- NBC Universal's Sci Fi and Universal Channel, Sony Pictures Entertainment Asia's AXN Beyond, and AETN's Biography Channel. Chello Zone spokesperson Gabrielle Grubanovich declined comment on market speculation this month about possible changes to the company's strategy in Asia.
