Directors' Fortnight in 'Control'
April 25, 2007 The black-and-white film centers on Ian Curtis, lead singer of '70s band Joy Division, who committed suicide at age 23. Corbijn, a world-renowned photographer, is best known for directing music videos for such groups as U2, Depeche Mode, New Order, Nirvana, Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The official selection for the Directors' Fortnight will be revealed at a news conference May 3 in Paris.
