Rubin to be feted with ShoWest honor

February 13, 2007 Bruce Joel Rubin will be honored as screenwriter of the year at ShoWest, the annual film industry convention that will be held March 12-15 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas. ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser cited Rubin's "diverse and impressive collection of work" in announcing the award, which will be presented March 15 at the closing-night ceremony. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Timothy Hutton, Joely Richardson, Rainn Wilson, Michael Clarke Duncan and newcomers Rhiannon Leigh Wryn and Chris O'Neil as the children.
