France's TF1 files YouTube lawsuit
April 17, 2008 France's leading commercial network TF1 has filed a lawsuit claiming 100 million euros ($155 million) in damages, alleging illicit use of its programming content from YouTube, it was reported here Thursday. A YouTube spokesperson told newspaper Les Echos that the legal challenge had been received a few days ago by the company in California but that the case would be heard by a Paris court.
