'Forbidden Kingdom' rules boxoffice
April 20, 2008 "The Forbidden Kingdom," from Lionsgate and the Weinstein Co., traveled to the top of the domestic boxoffice during the weekend, bowing with an estimated $20.9 million. Sony Screen Gems' horror film "Prom Night" saw a 56% drop over its sophomore session but still finished third with $9.1 million, good for a $32.6 million cume. No Intelligence Allowed, a Ben Stein-narrated documentary about critics of the intelligent-design theory of creation, bowed in ninth place with $3.2 million from 1,052 playdates.
