Sai Yoichi, Yoshida Kiju to be honored

STOCKHOLM -- The Rotterdam International Film Festival will honor Japanese directors Sai Yoichi and Yoshida Kiju in its 2010 edition, which runs Jan 27 – Feb. 7.

Rotterdam will screen several of Sai Yoichi's works, including his latest, the ninja action film "Kamui." The tribute to Yoshida Kiju will run to seven titles and include his classics "Affair at Akitsu" (1962) and "Eros and Massacre" (1969).

"Paju" from South Korean director Park Chan-ok will open the 39th Rotterdam Film Festival. The full festival program will be announced in January.
