The pair will adapt David Plotz and Hanna Rosin's June 2 Slate magazine article and video log of the same name into an untitled feature comedy. As an experiment in relationship harmony, the married writers attempted to emulate a real-life pair of Buddhist teachers who vowed to never be more than 15 feet from each other. While the teachers managed to maintain their arrangement for 10 years, the authors (tied together with a string) tried to avoid coming unstrung during their 24-hour trial. Spyglass' Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman optioned the property and will produce. Michael Larocca is supervising for the company, which had one of its biggest hits this summer with Universal's "Wanted." ICM-repped Burch and Kidd have written several Disney projects now in development and recently did some uncredited work on the Disney comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua." Slate editor Plotz and Atlantic contributing editor Rosin, both nonfiction book authors, share a Wylie Agency rep and a Washington home.
