'Untraceable' tracks sales victory
May 21, 2008 "Untraceable," a crime thriller from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, topped the national DVD sales chart in its first week, while Anchor Bay Entertainment's "Mad Money," a comedy about three women who decide to rob the Federal Reserve Bank, was the No. 1 renter for the week ending May 18. "Untraceable," which grossed $28.7 million at the boxoffice, narrowly topped the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week, with "The Great Debaters," a Weinstein drama from Genius Products, at No. 2. Excitement over the upcoming "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" put all three previous films in the franchise back into the First Alert top 20, both individually and as part of the "Adventures of Indiana Jones" boxed set, which debuted at No. 3.
