Scriptapalooza winners announced
August 19, 2008 Matt Umbarger of Irvine, Calif., took the first place award, worth $10,000, in the 10th annual Scriptapalooza screenwriting competition for his screenplay "The Terminals." Damian Lahey and Ian Ogden of Brooklyn, N.Y., were the second place winners for "Child in the Dark," while Los Angeles' Heather Regnier was the third place winner for "Sober Living."
