Par planning trip to 'Dubai'

By Tatiana Siegel and Borys Kit

June 25, 2007, ET

Paramount Pictures has snapped up Adam Cozad's spec "Dubai." Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing through his Paramount-based shingle, and Eric Bana is executive producing.

Set in the very exotic world of Dubai, the story is an action-thriller about a young American economist who gets caught up in a highly coordinated international attack on the U.S. economy.

"Dubai" is known to be a passion project for Bana.

Paramount's Dan Levine and Andrew Calof are shepherding the project for the studio.

Di Bonaventura has become Paramount's go-to producer, with several projects in various stages of development, production and postproduction for the studio, including the Eddie Murphy starrer "Nowhereland" and Matthew Vaughn's epic fantasy "Stardust." He also produced the upcoming summer tentpole "Transformers," which Paramount will release July 3.

Bana next stars in "The Time Traveler's Wife" opposite Rachel McAdams. The film is scheduled for a September shoot. He is repped by WMA and attorney Robert Offer.

Cozad is repped by FourSight Entertainment.
