"Superbad" did supergood in the nominations for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, leading the pack with five.

"Juno" was next with four noms, followed by "Enchanted," "Transformers," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Knocked Up" with three mentions apiece.

"Superbad," "Juno," "Transformers" and "Pirates" will vie for the best movie statuette with "I Am Legend" and "National Treasure: Book of Secrets."

"Superbad" also scored noms for stars Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, all mentioned in the breakthrough performance category. Hill also was cited for best comedic performance.

"Juno's" three other noms came in the categories of best male performance for Cera, best female performance for Ellen Page and best kiss for the pair.

Also vying for best male performance are Will Smith ("I Am Legend"), Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers"), Denzel Washington ("American Gangster") and Matt Damon ("The Bourne Ultimatum").

The other female contenders are Keira Knightley ("Pirates"), Katherine Heigl ("Knocked Up"), Amy Adams ("Enchanted") and Jessica Biel ("I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry").

"It's our audience that has made these movies huge boxoffice hits, and they've clearly spoken by nominating films with strong characters they can all relate to," said Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music, Logo and Films Group.

Fans can vote for the winners at movieawards.mtv.com through May 23. The 17th annual awards show, executive produced by Mark Burnett and hosted by Mike Myers, will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. June 1 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City.
