Rapper Young Jeezy will play the hip-hop artist at the center of writer-actor-producer Ice Cube's forthcoming comedy "Janky Promoters," about a pair of shady concert promoters in over their heads. Marcus Raboy ("Friday After Next") is directing the Dimension Films comedy, which is already shooting, and Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez is producing. Jeezy, in his first film role, joins Mike Epps and Terry Crews in Cube's first screenplay since "Friday After Next." The multiplatinum rap star is working on the release of his third album, "The Recession," through CTE/Def Jam.
