Krumholtz to take 'Walk,' go 'Raw'

By Tatiana Siegel

April 5, 2007, ET

David Krumholtz has landed a double bill with producer Judd Apatow that involves Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures.

The "Numbers" star will write and topline "Attorneys at Raw" for Universal and Apatow Prods. He also has signed on to co-star in Columbia's John C. Reilly comedy vehicle "Walk Hard," which Apatow also is producing.

Based on Krumholtz's pitch, "Attorneys" is described as a comedy that focuses on two young attorneys who decide they want to become rappers.

Universal's Holly Bario is overseeing the project for the studio.

Meanwhile, Krumholtz will play a slippery record producer in "Walk Hard," which chronicles the messy life of fictional music legend Dewey Cox (Reilly). Jake Kasdan is directing from a screenplay he penned with Apatow. Jenna Fischer and Kristen Wiig also star.

Sony's Matt Tolmach and Jonathan Kadin are shepherding for the studio.

Krumholtz, whose film credits include "Bobby," "Sidewalks of New York" and "Slums of Beverly Hills," next appears in "Live!" opposite Eva Mendes.

He is repped by the Gersh Agency, the Collective and attorney Warren Dern.
