Paramount has its hand stuck in the "Honey Pot."

The studio has pre-emptively purchased a pitch from screenwriter Liz Meriwether for a female-driven action comedy. The Montecito Picture Co. is producing.

The wish-fulfillment plotline involves two women in the world of international espionage.

"It's an action comedy about what happens when a bunch of hot funny women get their 'Bourne' on," said Meriwether. "It's like 'He's Just Not That Into You,' except if he's not into you, you might have to kill him."

Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock and Jeffrey Clifford of Montecito are producing. David Beaubaire is overseeing for Paramount.

The WME-repped Meriwether also has her script "Fuckbuddies" in development with Montecito, and she is adapting the Rudolph Delson novel "Maynard and Jennica" for producer Scott Rudin. She wrote the Off-Broadway play "Mistakes Madeline Made."

Montecito most recently produced "I Love You, Man," "Hotel For Dogs" and "The Uninvited." It also has Jason Reitman's comedy "Up in the Air" in production for Paramount.
