New Yorker draws deal for 'Still Life'
May 04, 2007 In the latest acquisition from the Tribeca Film Festival, art house distributor New Yorker Films nabbed all rights to writer-director Jia Zhang-ke's Chinese drama "Still Life." "Life" won the Golden Lion at last year's Venice Film Festival and had its U.S. premiere Saturday in Tribeca's World Narrative Competition. The distribution deal was negotiated by Talbot with sales agent Memento Films International.
