Abigail Breslin in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery."
Breslin, an Oscar nominee for "Little Miss Sunshine," plays the clever Depression-era title character, adapted from the American Girl book series. The casting calls for several roles will be held May 7 in Los Angeles, May 8 in Chicago and May 12 in New York.
