NEW YORK -- "Sharkwater," a documentary directed by marine biologist Rob Stewart, won the $10,000 Acura Grand Jury Feature Film Award and the Audience Award at the Gen Art Film Festival.

Wednesday's wins for the eco-docu mark the first time a feature documentary has taken home the jury award in the fest's 12-year history.

The $5,000 Acura Grand Jury Short Film Award and Audience Award went to Phillip Van's "High Maintenance." Troy Schremmer won the Stargazer Award for his breakout performance in Mike Akel's comedy-drama "Chalk."

In the inaugural Gen Art Online Film Festival, Brandon Reese and Darrell Allen's "Higher Power" bested six other short films in online voting to win a $2,500 prize package and a screening at the fest.

The jurors for this year's Acura Awards were Robert Hawk, Magnolia Pictures' Tom Quinn, IFC Television's Evan Shapiro, Don Buchwald and Associates agent Rachel Sheedy, HDNet Films' Courtney Andrealis and directors Scott Glosserman, Chris Romero, Jay Duplass and Hannah Beth King.
