Jon Hamm and Rebecca Hall are starring opposite Ben Affleck in "The Town," Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' romantic crime thriller that Affleck also is directing. Graham King is producing.

An adaptation of the Chuck Hogan novel "Prince of Thieves," the story follows the relationship between a bank manager, the career criminal (Affleck) who stole more than her heart and the dedicated FBI agent trying to bust the crook and his gang.

Hamm is playing the FBI agent. Hall is the reason the criminal wants to clean up his act but also is the agent's golden ticket to catching the man.

Affleck, Hogan and Peter Craig worked on the script.

Matt Reilly and Jesse Ehrman are overseeing for Warners.

Hamm and Hall will shoot "Town" in September in Boston after Hamm wraps shooting on "Mad Men." The AMC show's third season debuts Aug. 16.

Hamm, repped by ICM and Forward Entertainment, is coming off two Emmy nominations -- one for "Mad Men" and one for guest starring role on "30 Rock."

Hall, repped by WME and Julian Belfrage & Associates, is onstage in "The Bridge Project" and has Nicole Holofcener's dramedy "Please Give" in the can.
