Fable Works will produce "Cereal Heroes," a computer-animated feature that will be created at Sparx Animation Studios in Paris and Ho-chi-min, Vietnam.

David Meinstein ("Portal") is writing the screenplay, which revolves around cartoon cereal box-mascots who are mistakenly brought to life when a plan to replace the world's fallen superheroes with characters from comic books goes awry. They soon find themselves on the run in an unfamiliar world that only they can save from destruction.

Stephen Silver ("Kim Possible") is designing the characters. Fable Works' Jean-Philippe Agati and Laddie Ervin will produce the planned 2010 release.

Odyssey Entertainment will handle international sales.

Sparx is completing work on its first feature, Exodus Prods.' "Igor", which will be distributed by the Weinstein Co.
