Ramon Rodriguez has been cast in "Taking of Pelham 123," being
directed by Tony Scott.
The thriller stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Rodriguez plays a friend of Washington and a fellow MTA train dispatcher who is caught in the middle of a subway hijacking. Rodriguez is coming off a lead role in "Transformers 2," where he plays the college roommate and best friend of Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Jonah Hill at one point was in talks to play the role. Rodriguez, repped by the Collective, appeared in "The Wire" and appears in the upcoming "Surfer Dude" with Matthew McConaughey.
