'The Leaves' falls to Summit


July 22, 2008 Summit Entertainment has acquired the feature film rights to the Virgin Comics graphic novel "The Leaves," written by Kevin J. Walsh and illustrated by Ashwin Chikerur. Gotham Chopra, Virgin's founder, COO and editor-in-chief, will produce along with CEO Sharad Devarajan. The "Leaves" comic is the third stand-alone series in Virgin's Asura Analogues, stories based on the Asura demons common in eastern Hindu and Buddhist mythology.
