Dave Annable 'Wedlocked' to film

Actor will star opposite Katharine McPhee

By Jay A. Fernandez

Feb 16, 2009, 11:00 PM ET

"Brothers & Sisters" star Dave Annable has been cast in the romantic comedy "Wedlocked" opposite "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee. Rob Hedden ("The Condemned") will direct from his own script.

The film is being produced by Showcase Entertainment's Shawna and David Jackson and by Hawaii Film Partners' Rann and Gina Watamull.

Annable will play a pet photographer who gets mixed up with a mobster and his daughter, who is angling for American citizenship. Things go terribly awry on their forced honeymoon.

The production will start in Oahu, Hawaii in March while Annable is on hiatus from his ABC show.

Repped by CAA and Barking Dog Entertainment, Annable had a role in "Little Black Book."
