Multiple territories tell 'Story'
May 18, 2008 Miriam Kruishoop's upcoming romantic comedy "Sam's Story," starring Neve Campbell and Gabriel Macht, has been snatched up by international buyers, with Telepool grabbing the Velvet Octopus title for Germany, Ssamzie securing South Korean rights and Blue Sky taking Eastern Europe. The story of a superficial London party girl who falls for a dedicated single dad also has sold to Turkey (Chantior Films), Portugal (Lusomundo), Benelux (BFD) and the Middle East (ECS). The young Dutch director has been a sought-after helmer since her debut film "De Sliva" won the Citroen Award at the Netherlands Film Festival in 1996.
