Bat-signal calls DVD, Blu-ray buyers


July 16, 2008 Batmania hit the video sales charts for the week ending July 13 as consumers anticipated the new Batman film, "The Dark Knight," hitting theaters Friday. Gotham Knight, and the most recent theatrical installment in the franchise, Batman Begins -- took the top two spots on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week. "Vantage Point," last week's top seller and renter, with a boxoffice gross of $72.3 million, repeated as the week's No. 1 rental, according to Home Media Magazine.
