Hollywood fest to honor Christoph Waltz

'Inglourious Basterds' actor will be feted at Monday's gala

Christoph Waltz is set to receive the supporting actor award at the Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Gala at the Beverly Hilton on Monday for his performance in "Inglourious Basterds."

The event will also honor Father Rick Frechette, director of medical services for Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos International, with its Humanitarian Award.

On Monday, the fest also announced the nominees for its World Awards. They are Jane Campion's "Bright Star" (U.K./Australia); Luca Guadagnino's "I Am Love" (Italy); Jessica Hausner's "Lourdes" (France/Austria); Jacques Audiard's "A Prophet" (France); and Michael Haneke's "The White Ribbon" (Germany/Austria).
