Imax makes Stones larger-than-life
July 31, 2007 TORONTO – Giant screen exhibitor Imax Corp. on Monday said it will release a super-sized version of Martin Scorsese's upcoming Rolling Stones concert documentary on September 21, day-and-date with its release in traditional 35mm theatres. "The larger-than-life images and sound of an Imax theater will only enhance the experience of giving viewers the best seat in the house to watch the Rolling Stones perform," Scorcese, who directed the landmark 1978 concert film "The Last Waltz," said in a statement. The Imax screening for "Shine A Light" follows a pact between the big screen exhibitor, Paramount Pictures, Shangri-La Entertainment and Concert Productions International.
