The animated "WALL-E" and the documentary "Man on Wire" were the best reviewed films of 2008, according to the Web site RottenTomatoes.com.

The "WALL-E" win is the fifth time a Pixar release has been named best wide release film of the year by the site.

The thriller "One Missed Call" got hit with the Moldy Tomato Award as worst-reviewed film.

Films were ranked according to their "Tomatometer" scores, which are based on the published opinions of more than 200 top film critics aggregated by Rotten Tomatoes.

The year's top wide release, "WALL-E," earned a 96% approval rating, while "Man," the top limited release, checked in with a unanimous 100%.

"One Missed Call," on the other hand, didn't generate any positive reviews at all -- leaving it at 0%, the lowest score in the dubious honor's history.

Moving on the specific genres and formats, Golden Tomatoes were awarded to: "Man," documentary; "The Band's Visit," foreign; "The Dark Knight," action/adventure; "WALL-E," animation; "Happy-Go-Lucky," comedy; "Teeth," horror; "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," kids/family; "Ghost Town," romance; "Hellboy II: The Golden Army," sci-fi/fantasy; "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," musical; "The Wrestler," drama; "Transsiberian," thriller; "The Black Balloon," Australian film; "Man," U.K. film.
