Beatty gets life night from AFI
October 05, 2007 Warren Beatty will be honored by the American Film Institute for his career accomplishments in front of and behind the camera. Other glossy acting performances included 1971’s “McCabe and Mrs. Miller,” directed by Robert Altman, and 1978’s “Heaven Can Wait,” which Beatty co-directed with Buck Henry and co-wrote with Elaine May. Beatty combined acting, writing, directing and producing efforts in 1981’s “Reds,” a love story set amid the Russian Revolution.
