'Stepfather' joins family at Vantage


October 25, 2006 Paramount Vantage has purchased the Brian Burns pitch "Stepfather" for Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy to produce via their Gary Sanchez Prods. The broad comedy takes a look at the perfect stepfather's impact on the family dynamic. Despite McKay's assertions to the contrary, the company's namesake is believed to be a fictional character dreamed up by Ferrell and McKay, who have publicly described him as an ex-NFL kicker from Paraguay.
