Webb up for 'Summer' lovin'

By Borys Kit and Tatiana Siegel

April 27, 2007, ET

Music video director Marc Webb will make his feature directorial debut on "(500) Days of Summer," an anti-romantic comedy for Fox Searchlight. Mark Waters and Jessica Tuchinsky of Watermark are producing with Mason Novick.

Written by Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber, "Summer" is an examination of a relationship between a woman who doesn't believe in love and the man who falls hopelessly in love with her.

Exec Jeremy Steckler is overseeing.

Webb is one of the most in-demand music video directors who had yet to jump into the moviemaking game, helming videos for My Chemical Romance, Weezer, Fergie, Green Day and Snow Patrol. He won director of the year at the 2006 Music Video Production Assn. Awards, and his videos for AFI's "Miss Murder" and All-American Rejects' "Move Along" respectively won best rock video and best group video at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.

Webb is repped by Gersh and Anonymous Content.
