Joins cast including Elisabeth Shue, Richard Dreyfuss

Cody Longo better get himself some titanium waders.

The young actor has joined the cast of Dimension's horror revamp "Piranha 3-D," to be directed by Alexandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes").

Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Jerry O'Connell, Ving Rhames and Richard Dreyfuss already have been cast in the story about a resort community terrorized by flesh-eating fish. Longo will play Todd Dupree, a high school jock and self-absorbed creep.

Longo, who is repped by APA and Luber Roklin Entertainment, has just completed filming MGM's remake of "Fame," which will dance into theaters Sept. 25. He also has the indie comedy "High School" in production. Longo's credits include "Bring It On: Fight to the Finish" and "Ball Don't Lie."
