Culton checks into 'Hotel'

March 07, 2008 Jill Culton will direct Sony Pictures Animation's "Hotel Transylvania," which is in bloody development, with Kevin and Daniel Hageman on board to write the screenplay. In the story, a sort of "Romeo and Juliet" with monsters, Simon Van Helsing -- the youngest in a long line of monster hunters -- falls in love with Dracula's daughter. Culton previously directed Sony Animation's "Open Season" with Roger Allers, with Anthony Stacchi as co-director.
