'Transformers' hauls in $27.45 mil Tuesday
July 05, 2007 Playing in 4,011 locations, the Dreamworks/Paramount Pictures coproduction grossed an estimated $27.45 million, according to the studio. Having also picked up an estimated $8.8 million on Monday, when it played a partial day at theaters that began screening the film at 8.p., "Transformers" had amassed an estimated cumulative gross of $36.25 million as it headed into the July 4 playdate, when it will have to compete with family gatherings and fireworks displays.
