Oscilloscope gets the 'Girl'

Film stars Zoe Kazen as love-struck college student

Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Bradley Rust Gray’s “The Exploding Girl.”

The film stars Zoe Kazan as a college student caught between two loves and earned her the best actress award at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The acquisition marks the second collaboration between Oscilloscope and Gray, who produced So Yong Kim’s "Treeless Mountain," which the distributor released in April.

Oscilloscope head Adam Yauch said, "This film captures the current feeling of NYC like few others are able to do, perhaps the way 'Fingers' did in its time. Brad's directing and Kazan's acting are so natural it allows you to feel like you are there, watching a real story unfold."
