Louise Linton and Sean Patrick Flanery are heading for deep space.

The pair has been cast in the indie sci-fi film "Scavengers," about crews of space scavengers competing for supplies, energy and treasure. When the crew of the Revelator, led by Emerson (Linton), comes across the alien-created Chaos Generator, they must fight to keep it out of the hands of her former shipmate, the sinister Captain Jekel (Flanery).

The film will be the directorial debut of production designer Travis Nicholas Zariwny ("Wake"). James Rosenthal ("Little Fish, Strange Pond") is producing. Production on the low-budget film begins today.

Linton recently wrapped filming the drama "Five Hours South" in Rome. She has also appeared on CBS' "CSI: NY" and "Cold Case."

Flanery most recently starred in the crime thriller "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day." He also has appeared in the features "The Whole Truth" and "Suicide Kings."

Linton and Flanery are repped by Fortitude.
